This Privacy Policy describes how AI Job Hunt ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is developed by Pietervas and is available on the Google Play Store.

1. Summary

AI Job Hunt is a fully offline, on-device job search assistant. All data you enter stays on your device. We do not operate any servers, do not collect analytics, and do not share your data with any third parties.

2. Data We Store (On Your Device Only)

The following information is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage:

• Job search criteria – job titles, skills, locations, and preferences you configure
• Email settings – your Gmail address and app password (stored in encrypted secure storage), used solely to send job digest emails to yourself
• API keys – optional Adzuna and Reed API keys you provide, stored in encrypted secure storage
• CV content – text extracted from a PDF or TXT file you upload, used locally to auto-fill your search criteria
• Job listings – jobs fetched from public job boards, stored in a local database on your device
• Activity logs – records of search runs, matches found, and emails sent, stored locally
• App preferences – notification and scheduling settings

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Internet Access

The App uses your internet connection for two purposes only:

• Fetching job listings – the App makes requests to public job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, eFinancialCareers, RemoteOK, Reed, Adzuna, and others). These requests do not include any personal information about you.
• Sending email digests – if you configure email notifications, the App uses Gmail SMTP to send a job summary email from your Gmail account to your chosen recipient address. The email contains job titles, company names, and links — no personal data beyond what you choose to include.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking tools
• We do not require account registration or login
• We do not store any data on external servers
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location

5. Permissions Used

• INTERNET – to fetch job listings and send email digests
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS – to send you alerts when high-scoring jobs are found
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / WAKE_LOCK – to run background job searches on your set schedule
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – to restart scheduled searches after your device reboots

6. Third-Party Services

The App fetches data from public job boards. These services have their own privacy policies and terms of use. We recommend reviewing the policies of any job board whose listings appear in the App.

The App uses Gmail SMTP to send emails. By providing your Gmail app password, you are subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
